To showcase our services in the wedding industry, myself, Heather Boswick of Boswick Photography and the historic Taylor Butler House, in Middletown NJ, partnered with several vendors for a beautiful wedding editorial, featuring real-life partners Leah & Kevin!
In the spring of 2019, myself and numerous talented New Jersey-based wedding professionals, gathered together to showcase our skills. The resulting editorial shoot was full of florals, a stunning curved grand staircase, pastel wallpaper, beautiful details, and chandeliers dripping in flowers in a historic furnished estate complete with a stunning glass greenhouse decorated in beautiful florals.
To go with the spring in the air feel, we went with beautiful pastel colors, lavender hues, dusty blues and light grey. The florals really gave the feel of spring in the air. Amber and Earth, the florist, even decorated the entire place in florals, including the grand staircase, which made a beautiful photo opp location for the couple.
A little history about this historic estate (for those who love history- I do!) The Taylor Butler House is located in Middletown, NJ. Its a beautiful house located on numerous aces of land, which used to be an apple orchard. The house was built in the mid-1800s. By one of the last family members’ deaths in 1930, the house stood empty until an architect bought the house and restored it. In 1999, the Monmouth County Historical Association purchased the house and acres from Mr.Butlers estate in which they did renovations and kept it to its original glory. The house is rented for meetings, events and weddings which makes a beautiful backdrop to any location.
Leah and Kevin’s love for one another was a joy to capture during the shoot. So many editorial shots rely on models, but having a real-life couple made the chemistry real. Leah and Kevin spent the day together giggling and smiling while enjoying the beautiful shoot.
