Today’s featured wedding comes to us from the heart of Seattle’s historic SoDo district, such a cool location and as Sara explains, ‘very hip and romantic’. I love that. And what a vibrant, and perfectly alternative setting for Sara’s Vera Wang gown called ‘Ethel’ in shades of black…amazing swirling tissue organza skirt with a flattering, yet simple Mikado silk bodice. So good. Don’t miss Sara + Clayton’s playful and inviting decor in sunshine yellow and bold black and white striped accents or the warm atmosphere and beautiful lighting of the re-purposed century-old factory venue. Enjoy!

The Ceremony
We were married at Herban Feast in Sodo Park, Seattle WA on July 4th, 2013 – what better day than when the sky is exploding with celebration! It is in the heart of Seattle’s historic SoDo district and is a repurposed century-old factory just minutes from downtown Seattle. It is right on the Puget Sound harbor and is very hip and romantic. It was featured as the number 4 coolest venue to get married at in the U.S! The Ceremony was right in the warehouse in front of the eclectic “barn” doors in the front.
The Reception
Following the ceremony, we immediately jumped into the cocktail hour and reception with Italian lights, martini tree, zanzibar table clothes, and an amazing DJ to set the tone! The food was great and all our vendors were local and a special part of the night! Guests traveled from all over the world to come. It was truly the best night of my life!
Sara’s Dress Search
I saw a Vera Wang runway show in Chicago and immediately knew I wanted a black dress from her 2012 collection! I was hooked! I went to the store, tried it on, and bought it that day!
How Sara Felt in Her Wedding Dress
Sexy, fun, and I stood out of the norm!
Why Sara Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
Why I am selling my dress: I want someone else to feel as good in it as I did. This dress is too good to keep in a closet!!!!
