Stella McCartney was born in London to a family of legendary parents – Beatles Paul McCartney and animal activist Linda. She was raised in the city and the English countryside and found a passion for fashion at a very young age.

By the age of 13, she was already making her own clothes and began her journey to take the world of fashion by storm. Having tackled everything from women’s clothing to sporting attire, red carpet gowns, kidswear, skincare, fragrances, and more, the world has long had a love for Stella and her designs.

In 2018 Stella designed Meghan Markle’s second wedding dress which of course we all loved, but it made us wonder…could this be her next fashion endeavor?

Fast forward six short months and our dreams came true. Stella McCartney launched her first-ever wedding dress collection named Made With Love. The 17-piece collection reimagines bridal gowns for the modern woman and in true Stella McCartney fashion, they are sustainable.

Made With Love features modern bridal gowns with sleek lines, feminine details, and fashion-forward styles. Choose from a sassy Alencon lace jumpsuit, a double-breasted tuxedo suit, or sophisticated and simple wedding dress designs.

Made With Love Debuts

The “Made with Love” bridal collection is crafted with glamorous and luxurious, sustainable versions of viscose, chiffon, and lace fabrics, that are feminine and romantic. Her passion for sustainability means you won’t feel the guilt of wearing an eco-unfriendly wedding dress design on your wedding day. To make your wedding dress even more meaningful, you’ll also find a small blue tag sewn into the gown with a small personal “Made with Love” message from Stella herself. How lovely is that? Your own “something blue” from a mega-icon!!

Our absolute favorites pieces in her inaugural wedding dress collection are the lace bridal jumpsuit and the sleek and chic bridal tuxedo suit. Talk about fashion-forward! The sleek, tailored look of the bridal tuxedo is sexy and sophisticated. It would be perfect for your 2021 elopement, or intimate wedding at the courthouse. And the romantic lace bridal jumpsuit, WOW! That has us swooning. Made from delicate re-embroidered Alencon lace, this bridal jumpsuit is classy, sexy, and feminine. We would totally rock either one of these looks.

So, now you know all about Stella McCartney’s entrance into the world of wedding dress fashion, what are some of her other notable achievements?

The brand then launched the STELLA fragrance in 2003, created a partnership with Adidas by designing the Stella McCartney athletic-wear line in September 2004 and the fashion house’s first lingerie collection in 2008. Whew! That’s a lot in just a short time, but Stella is not done yet.

In 2010, the famous Falabella bag was launched – recognizable by a fashionable braided chain detail the Falabella bag by far the fashion house’s best-selling merchandise. Stella Kids was introduced that year and then just when you thought she was done, In 2011 the sustainable fashion house expanded into eco-friendly eyewear.

The first-ever menswear collection carrying her name launched in Spring 2017 and then Stella designed the first-ever vegan Stan Smith sneakers in Fall 2018, part of her Adidas collaboration.
