Celebrating an ephemeral Fall afternoon, we captured an occasion that was both shamelessly beautiful, yet authentically humble. An ideal fit for the couple who can find greater satisfaction in moments alluringly romantic and imperfect.
The creative team pushed the boundaries in the warehouse space boasting soaring ceilings and lofty skylights. A whirlwind of delicate earthen tones of blush, rose gold, chalk, and concrete filled the raw space with a strong and dreamlike presence. Merging industrial elements with sculptural works of art, it celebrates the fall season of impermanence, a spiritual journey signifying how vital it is to embrace the present by cuddling up with nature and loved ones in a wedding editorial celebration.
A long wooden table spilling with charred grain became our primary canvas within the light-filled industrial space. The table was layered with bespoke handcrafted linens and textural ceramic dinnerware, which showcased a fall culinary palette inspired by Middle Eastern delicacies.
Our evening concluded with a miniature dessert buffet featuring a wide array of flavors touched by edible gold and a decadent caramel and pear wedding cake. Painterly floral arrangements were gathered in our one of a kind vases and nestled onto our deceivingly dishevelled tables. An intertwined wisteria and draped fringe alter transformed into a sculptural work of art with a definitive focus exhausted on texture, space, organic lines and asymmetry.
To accentuate the loosely styled place settings, our calligrapher and graphic designer created deckled edged menus and name holders in watercolor washes combined with light grey calligraphy.
When pairing an earthy palette with the wedding aesthetic, the creative team kept the attire on the warmer end of the spectrum by adding touches of intricate lace, billowing fringe and antique accents. The refreshingly fun, low key, fashion-minded bridal boutique showcased relaxed, yet fashion-forward garments without being overbearing. Pairing the garments with gold-toned jewelry added a touch of boho with a wicker clutch and sparked whimsicality with a butterfly patterned parasol.
In the end, warmer ivory hues won over pure white and beige over gray, to ensure a rich harmonic sequence of layers. To complement the rather romantic attire we had our bridal models feature clean, natural makeup with blush tones and romantic waves. Our stylists found the right balance of formality and softness for the season’s bridal look inspired by the ‘imperfect perfection’.
Our guests departed our event with custom made ceramic favors to remind us of our overall theme of staying present as seasons change.
