Vickie + Ben | Vera Wang Wedding from Brett and Jessica Arthur Photography

Vickie + Ben’s rustic and modern flair wedding is simply delightful. With a garden ceremony amidst crab apple trees, I am completely charmed by the subtle lace edging of the bride’s veil and the way Vickie’s Vera Wang gown draped over the brick steps of the altar. Don’t miss this couple’s beautiful barn reception complete with twinkle lights, burlap table runners,  a rich array of forest and garden greens of cedar, fern, sprigs of rosemary and just a touch of succulents…or my favorite, the playful pops of yellow from the round little flower you have always wondered about, Craspedia, aka Billy Buttons! So sweet, enjoy!

Vickie + Ben | September 8th 2012, The Fearrington Pittsboro, North Carolina

The Ceremony
We got married in the beautiful gardens under crab apple trees at The Fearrington. The design was simplistic, allowing the natural beauty of the garden to shine. A good friend married us in a ceremony he wrote along with vows from both Ben and I.

The Reception
Our reception took place inside the beautiful barn at The Fearrington. The design was rustic with a modern flair. We had burlap runners made by the bride’s mom and the rest was designed by Mary, the florist at the Fearrington. There were lots of small touches added from many Etsy purchases! The goal was to have a very custom wedding, that spoke to who both Ben and I are as a couple.

Vickie’s Dress Search
I knew I wanted a mermaid dress with hints of lace. So yes – I knew exactly what I wanted!

Special, Beautiful, Proud

Why Vickie Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I want someone else to be able to enjoy what took us 5 months to create. It will just sit in a box for another 30 years – and that is a waste of a wonderful dress!
