Real Wedding | Gaby + Joe

Bold and dramatic are the perfect words to describe Gaby’s gorgeous wedding to Joe in her hometown of Tijuana, Mexico.  From the eye-catching red and white colors of the Catholic church where they exchanged vows to the soft, flowing, and romantic ambiance of the reception, Gabby looked stunning in her tailored Vera Wang gown. Make sure to notice her striking  and original bridal bouquet. Truly one of a kind, and sure to inspire!

Gaby + Joe | June 23, 2012 | Tijuana, Mexico

The ceremony

The ceremony was held in a catholic church in my hometown of Tijuana. It was about 10 minutes away from the reception venue.

The reception

The reception was held in a recently constructed 12-story sustainable office building. Being in the architecture business, I visited several places looking for a venue that reflected my taste with modern, clean lines.

How Gaby found her dream wedding dress

I had heard of Vera Wang just by the media exposure she gets from some of her clients, and when I started my dress search I visited a store that carried some of her designs. I then decided to visit her store located in Los Angeles to try on a broader range of designs. When I tried on the Deidre dress, I knew it was the dress for me. The way her dresses are cut and the use of light, and high end materials just had no comparison to the other dresses I had tried on.

Why she decided to sell her wedding dress

A lot of time and care goes into making a wedding dress…I don’t believe that they are meant to be worn only once and be stored away forever!
