Real Wedding | Christina + Joe

Christina’s summer wedding was pure elegance.  A poolside ceremony, pretty pastels and soft white flowers, and chic reception décor created an unforgettable atmosphere. Christina looked simply stunning in her Vera Wang gown…the stylish beaded belt and beautiful jeweled headpiece/veil were lovely additions to an already gorgeous dress. But the radiant smile on Angie’s face was the ultimate accessory for this modern bride…walking down the aisle to marry the man of her dreams, her joy was contagious!

The ceremony

Our ceremony was located outdoors at the Woodbury Country Club. It was beautiful that night. The decor was simple but elegant. We had about 200 people sitting outside in white wooden chairs surrounded by beautiful landscaping and the well lit pool. Following the ceremony we had cocktail hour also outside.

The reception

Our reception was located on the first floor of the hall. We had a fabulous 11-piece band, Douglas and Eddie. Our reception went until about 1:30 am. and was followed by an elegant Venetian hour.

How Christina found her dream wedding dress

I started my search at Kleinfeld’s in NYC with the idea that I was going to wear Monique Lhuillier. After my experience at Kleinfeld’s, which was wonderful, I was torn between two dresses I had seen there. I left undecided. A week later I got an appointment at Vera Wang. I just missed the new Fall Collection by a week. I tried on a few dresses and when I thought I was done, I wasn’t. I saw my dress sitting there across the room. I tried it on and I KNEW it was my dress.

Why she decided to sell her wedding dress

I never thought I would feel as beautiful as I did on that day and to be honest I don’t want my dress to go to waste. I want another bride to feel as beautiful as I did!
