It was history in the making when Cecilia and Gonzalo said “I do” in the charming and historic town of Monterrey, Mexico. Their intimate wedding ceremony took place in a gorgeous chapel, awash in white and cast in the glow of soft candlelight and beautiful white flowers. Next, friends and family celebrated their union at a festive reception held at a chic mountaintop club, overlooking the sparkling city below. Cecilia’s uber-romantic Vera Wang gown was so perfect…soft and feminine, but with unique details that made it unforgettable.

The ceremony
The ceremony took place in a small, intimate church located in the heart of the city of Monterrey. The chapel is adjacent to Monterrey’s famous Cathedral built between 1705 until 1791. It overlooks the Macroplaza, which is the second largest plaza in the world, and historical events have been witnessed in this beautiful place.
The reception was held in Monterrey’s eminent Club Industrial that sits atop one of the city’s many beautiful mountains. It oversees a panoramic view of the entire city, which created a romantic and memorable night.
How Cecilia found her dream wedding dress
Since I was a little girl, I always dreamed of getting married in a big, princess dress. So when I started searching for my dress I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for. I tried on different silhouettes just to make sure I wasn’t making a mistake, but at the end Vera Wang’s Ella dress was everything I ever dreamed.

Why she decided to sell her wedding dress
At first, I wanted to keep the dress due to its sentimental value, but this exceptional gown shouldn’t be packed away in a box. I want other women to be able to experience what I experienced on my wedding, and feel as beautiful and happy as I felt.
