“This styled shoot is a kind of pan-Asia fusion: vintage Thai flatware, modern Vietnamese ceramics, motifs of the traditional Chinese floral painting, Japanese minimalism and Ikebana floral arrangements, natural materials, and a beautiful Vietnamese girl, born in Russia.
We decided to create this shoot after our fourth visit to Asia. Our “mood board” had already been in our phone camera rolls. All we needed to do was to harmoniously mix our travel pictures, memories, and feelings. It’s so exciting to watch how your travel thoughts and notes (I mean the received energy) are transformed into your passion and for me that passion is wedding styling and photography.
We began the planning process, first reaching out to some unique vendors, such as Amai for the handmade minimalist dishes and to Sasha Grebneva for the vintage style wedding gown.
The day of the photo shoot left us in awe as we watched the details come together. The mint dishes matched perfectly with the menus and brass flatware, and the flowers created by Wood and Bloom paired magically with Bark and Berry’s hand-made beeswax candles and silk ribbons.”
The soft natural lighting and film that photographer, Igor Kovchegin, utilized accentuated the amazing natural glow and vintage look that hair and makeup artist, Anastasya Tagunova, so carefully created.
