Modern Brides Beautifully Captured in Minimalist Bridal Shoot

From Lisa Catherine, the photographer:

“The inspiration behind this shoot was to create a bridal shoot with a modern yet organically minimal aesthetic. I wanted to strip down the surroundings and create minimal styling in order to let the beauty of the gowns and the women wearing them do the talking. As with the inspiration for the surroundings, for beauty, we chose to highlight the naturally beautiful glow from our brides’ skin, their features, and texture of their hair allowing their individual beauty to shine through. We worked away quietly in a loft style warehouse space using just the light from the windows while graceful strength poured from our brides as they worked through their movement.

What I particularly love most about this shoot, and what I find to be of utmost importance in today’s society, is that the images are left to be open to interpretation and were shot in such a way that the viewer may identify with the shoot in a way that resonates with them most. The viewer is left to decide whether they are drawn to the minimalist styling, the gowns, or the dynamic between the two females and their relationship. Love is love. May we all be left to interpret the world around us with an open heart and an open mind, and feel the freedom to run with what we find beautiful and inspiring.”
