The Ceremony
The ceremony took place in a gorgeous neo-gothic cathedral on the University of Pittsburgh’s campus. It has sky high ceilings, beautiful stained glass and a majestic aura and was the perfect venue for our wedding. It is also located down the street from my high school so being able to showcase a neighborhood to my friends and family that has so many memories for me was really special.
The Reception
The reception was held at the Mansions on Fifth, a restored mansion and historic structure originally built in the early 20th century. It was a great compliment to the grandeur of our ceremony.
Kristi’s Dress Search
I was very thorough during the dress selection process, however it took me a while to identify which silhouettes looked good on my figure. I found myself attracted to dress designs I would see online and in magazines but when I tried them on the effect wasn’t the same. Also knowing our ceremony was going to be held in such a stately venue, I wanted a dress that could hold its own in the space. When I tried on Gemma I knew I had checked all these boxes. It was the one for me!
