Fresh, elegant and downright peachy! Kait + Jason’s Charleston wedding in South Carolina was gorgeous and intimate, complete with southern fair, peach preserves, peach cobbler and fresh peach centerpieces. I love that! Don’t miss Kait’s beautiful Vera Wang gown called ‘Fiona’ in mikado satin with an airy chiffon skirt or her lush rose bouquet in pinks, peaches and cream. So inviting, enjoy!
Kait + Jason | April 19, 2013 | Lowndes Grove Plantation, Charleston, South Carolina
The Ceremony
Our ceremony took place on the front lawn of Lowndes Grove Plantation underneath a floral-adorned chuppah. We had an intimate guest count (35) for our modern, Jewish-inspired ceremony.
The Reception
Our reception also took place at Lowndes Grove Plantation. We held a southern-style dinner underneath a fabric-lined tent next to the Plantation home. Unfortunately, weather was not on our side and it quickly began to downpour (after pictures, luckily!). The ceremony was moved inside the gorgeous Plantation home.
Kait’s Dress Search
I knew I was going to be married in the south, so initially I wanted a lace dress. I had one particular Lian Carlo dress in mind and I traveled across several states to find it. I found it in Raleigh, North Carolina, but my consultant quickly changed my mind with Vera Wang. I was dead set against satin…until I tried on ‘Fiona’. It was an out of body experience and I knew it was the one.

Why Kait Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I have decided to sell my dress because someone else deserves to feel as beautiful as I did. I never imagined I’d spend that kind of money on my dress – but fortunately, I could. No one should be denied feeling beautiful because of a price tag, and hopefully the discounted price will make that possible for them! Beats sitting in my closet!
