From Emily the Stylist:
The concept derived from our yearning to create subtle beauty by way of a nuanced color story. We decided to shoot in a location that spoke to our subtle and modern concept, the De Young Museum in San Francisco. With its many textured walls and muted tones, the museum served as a perfect backdrop for our minimally dressed model who donned a linen frock, mod sandals, and understated jewelry.
The table was styled with washed linen, ceramics, and stone. Simple water glasses gave reflection and transparency to the delicately placed ikebana floral. We kept design clean and minimal on the table surface in order to give attention to the overhead spirea installation which pulled in texture and a feeling of movement over the still table below. A floral based table was then styled to explore variety within the nuanced concept.
