From the stylist, Camryn of Camryn Brook Events:
“The fashion and beauty was certainly a highlight, featuring 3 separate looks and gowns. First, a more formal sleek look for the ceremony with a two-piece set by Gracy Accad, a chic pony and pink lip. For dinner, the bride changed into an off-the-shoulder Liz Martinez gown with Old Hollywood glamour-inspired hair and makeup. Another outfit change for dancing into a mauve Chana Marelus for something fun and unique.
I usually draw inspiration from my travels, nature and fashion. When I stumbled upon an oil painting of a mustard and lavender field I found myself drawn toward the combination of color. I loved the unexpected mix of golden yellow with lavender and shades of mauve. It reminded me of that Indian Summer feeling when the season has transitioned to fall, the leaves have started to turn, but it’s unseasonably warm and sunny.
With this color palette, I decided on Prospect Park Boathouse in Brooklyn for its textured walls, romantic archways and the Lullwater it overlooks. The accents of green inspired sage green linens serving as a neutral against the colorful florals and menus, which featured a delicate floral printed vellum overlay. These two elements were the main attraction, while the rest of the tabletop design felt refined and minimal, not to compete for attention or feel overstimulated.
The custom stationery suite incorporated a print of a vintage painting as seen on the envelope liner and later deconstructed and featured on the cake. It’s important to weave in cohesive details throughout the entire design.”
