Sometimes wedding photos will just take you away, as is the case with Daphne and Graeme’s modern-glam wedding. The reception featured centerpieces exploding with roses and crystals, flickering candlelight and a dramatic fireworks display. Daphne said it was love at first sight when she tried her Vera Wang gown on, and after seeing these photos it’s hard to imagine she ever had another dress in mind. This wedding is pure sophisticated perfection.

The Ceremony
Our ceremony was a civil marriage ceremony performed in the idyllic surroundings of the Great Hall within Hillbark Hotel, Wirral. The elegance of the surroundings was a perfect complement to the intimate, warm and joyous atmosphere of the ceremony.
The Reception
The reception was within the same venue as the ceremony and allowed a seamless transition into an afternoon and evening of black tie and ball gown. My dress made an exquisitely simple transformation for the evening’s celebration.
Daphne’s Dress Search
I tried three dresses at Brown’s Bridal in London followed by three dresses at Vera Wang. I was not pleased with the alterations of my initial selection and therefore changed the dress two weeks prior to the wedding day!! When faced with the dilemma I was devastated. However as soon as I stepped into my Lark wedding dress I knew that it was “The One” as I felt like a true princess.
