Just the two of us: that’s what Chyanna and Peter decided. They held their incredibly intimate elopement at San Francisco’s historic city hall, adding in all the trimmings of a more traditional wedding, including a tuxedo for him and a blush pink ombré Vera Wang White ballgown for her. The fabulous photos and their obvious adoration for one another may have you considering the merits of slipping away to tie the knot at city hall yourselves!
The Ceremony When we started planning our wedding I knew I wanted the dress, the tux, and the photographs to one day share with our kids but I couldn’t wrap my head around hosting a full-on wedding. We decided to elope to San Francisco to get married at city hall, just the two of us all dressed up with our photographer to capture the day.
The Reception As we had eloped alone we didn’t have a reception in San Francisco but we were able to celebrate with family and friends after we returned home with a small brunch.
Chyanna’s Dress Search I had initially been interested in the Vera Wang pink colored dresses because they complimented my skin tone but I was looking at some of the more fitted shapes not the ball gowns. By the time we were actually looking at dresses we already knew that we would be eloping and we would be helping each other get ready the day of so there was no reason not to pick out the dress together. My husband had picked out all ball gowns for me to try on and when I tried on the ombre pink gown we both knew instantly that it was the one.
How Chyanna Felt in Her Wedding Dress Striking, bride, beautiful
Why Chyanna Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress I had originally looked at buying my dress second hand but was unable to find it because it was so new at the time. I would love for someone else to get the opportunity to wear this dress for their day and enjoy it as much as I did.
