This wedding looks like a movie screenplay set to debut this coming Christmas! Set in Ireland on December 1st, Iseult + Patrick’s traditional wedding was classic, festive and full of really thoughtful details. I love that the photographer captured a simple yet profound vignette of the father of the bride driving her daughter to the church in his antique Rolls Royce ‘basked in the low-lying winter sun‘. Absolutely magical! And my favorite, for party favors Iseult explains, ‘we actually created a mini wedding newspaper and we wrote about every guest‘. Enjoy!
Iseult + Patrick | December 1, 2012 | Tulfarris, Co Wicklow, Ireland
The Ceremony
We had a church ceremony first in Co Dublin before having a reception in Tulfarris. It was a beautiful crisp December day and the church basked in the low-lying winter sun. I loved the journey up to the church in the Rolls with my Dad. The ceremony was very special; the priest was very funny and made it a light and very happy occasion! After the ceremony, we went off in the Rolls up to Tulfarris. We spent about 40 minutes in woods and another 20 by the lake. It was freezing, but worth every second because the pictures turned out better than we could have hoped. Paul is an extremely talented photographer, he made us laugh and feel relaxed all day.
The Reception
Once the photos were done we joined our guests at the manor house where we had a Latin American band perform during our drinks reception. This was followed by our fabulous evening dinner. I loved our giant I&P lights, we commissioned them off a local business and they looked better than we could have imagined. We put a lot of effort into our favors; we actually created a mini wedding newspaper. It was 5/6 pages and we wrote a piece about every guest in it. It took 9 months, so it really was a labor of love!
Iseult’s Dress Search
When I began looking for a dress I always thought I would go for a very fitted full-length dress. I had actually tried on some Jenny Packham dresses, but as soon as I put this dress on I knew it was the one. It was that simple. I bought it in 20 minutes! It made me feel incredible, I felt like I was wearing couture. It was so easy to wear and I felt every inch the bride.

Why Iseult Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I decided to sell the dress so that someone else can experience the feeling of wearing such a stunning dress. I have all my memories; they’re both in my head and in our photos. It seems a shame that it would only be worn once and then sit in a box. A dress like this should be shown off. It’s fabulous.
