Big in numbers, and in style, the Sky Lobby at the Dallas Petroleum Club was the ideal spot for Hannah and Alex to host their three hundred plus guests. Think big weddings have to be stuffy and formal? Just one look at Hannah’s infectious smile and you can see that the evening was relaxed and full of joy. Friends and family laughed, cheered, and danced the night away as they celebrated this lovely couple.

The ceremony
Our ceremony was held at University Park United Methodist Church in University Park. It is the church my husband Alex has been in since he was an infant, and is a beautiful church with an even more special congregation. Our ceremony was officiated by Alex’s uncle. Probably one of the most precious memories besides the “I do” was when Alex and I each served communion to every one of our guests. It was such a beautiful moment to recognize and serve every loved one and friend in such a memorial event in our lives. It was perfect.
The reception
Our reception was held at the Sky Lobby of the Dallas Petroleum Club. The biggest thing I wanted for our reception site was for it to be different from the traditional space. That was hard to accomplish while also looking for a space that would accommodate 300+ people and stay within our budget! After much searching we found it at the Sky Lobby. With it’s 360 degree views of downtown Dallas, water garden and marble floors it was the perfect meeting of all the things we wanted. Our florist, cake decorators and event directors also all worked flawlessly together to make the space one we wouldn’t forget as we danced the night away! It truly could not have been a more perfect night!
How Hannah found her dream wedding dress
All I knew when I started my dress search was that I wanted something that was appropriate for a traditional church wedding, but with a twist on the traditional. I wanted something totally feminine, and not over the top. After describing to the fantastic ladies at Warren Barron what I was looking for they pulled a few fabulous choices. The slightly blush tinge on the skirt and the beautifully unique draping and ruffles on the Vera Wang immediately caught my eye and once I put it on I knew it was “the” dress!

Blessed, beautiful, and joyful.
Why she decided to sell her wedding dress
As our first anniversary came I began to really think about wanted to do with my dress. I knew I either needed to heirloom it or sell it. After much soul searching I decided to sell it so that hopefully another bride might find as much happiness and feel as beautiful in it as I did. It was the perfect dress for our perfect day, and I know it will be the perfect dress for another bride on her perfect, blessed, day!
