Designer – Elizabeth Fillmore
Elizabeth Fillmore graduated from Parsons School of Design in 1993 with a desire to start her own collection. She began creating high-end, niche evening wear that had a distinctly romantic edge, and later was urged by the fashion director of Saks Fifth avenue to start her own Bridal collection which she then launched in 1999. Fillmore’s designs are a beautiful balance of sophistication, femininity and a touch of the bohemian. There is an overall lightness to the designs; coupled with bespoke hand-applied embellishment, trims and drapes that gives each collection a special flair. The collection focuses on slender bias cuts with graceful draping accents, chic fitted hourglass gowns to ethereal empire silhouettes.
