Spring Wedding Cakes

Maybe it is because there is a foot of snow on the ground (and plenty more in the forecast), but I’m cold…and definitely sick of winter.

A wedding magazine is on my desk, and the spring wedding cakes featured are making me feel better (that and the fact that I stopped looking out of the window).

Here are some more sweet spring wedding cakes to cheer you up:

Edith Meyer Wedding Cake

This cake from Edith Meyer took its inspiration from the wedding flowers and featured handmade ranunculus and freesia. Note the cute matching groom’s cake that held a four leaf clover in tribute to the grooms Irish heritage.

Wedding cake from Cakes by Jane

This “Carolina” cake from Cakes by Jane, has realistic gumpaste dogwoods, arranged on the cake as if they were freshly cut from the tree. These gumpaste flowers can last for 50 years if kept in a cool, dry environment (like a china case).  What a great keepsake from your wedding day.

Bella Manse Wedding Cake Bella Manse Wedding Cake

These two colorful cakes from Bella Manse have fun spring colors and one of my all time favorite flowers: gerber daisys.

And finally, for when it really does warm up, I love this summer sandcastle cake (also by Edith Meyer), created for a bride and groom who married on the beach (just outside the window in the picture).

(Now if only my view from my window could look like that).
