Hi, I’m Jessie from Follow Studio, a paper goods and graphic design studio and inspirations blog. I’m so honored to be a guest on Once Wed this week in celebration of Joy’s newest family member. Congratulations Thigpen family!
If I were to plan my wedding today, what would it be like? I know I would want it to feel just like the wedding we did have in January – a relaxed day spent with family and friends celebrating in our own way. Nothing too planned or rehearsed, but special and thoughtful details that meant something to us.
Everything would be inspired by the location, the place in which I grew up – Palm Beach, Australia. Palm Beach is a little village on the tip of a peninsula on Australia’s east coast, blessed with both sand and sea, bush and trees. This time around I would draw on the colours and textures of the Australian ‘bush’ – natural, rustic, simple and understated. The palette would be greys, whites, kraft paper, burlap and natural wood with a hint of soft lilac and silver. Everything would be simple and natural, lots of recycled and re-purposed details, and of course, lots of handmade.
