From Janine, the Bride:
“Being a wedding photographer myself, choosing our own wedding photographer was our highest priority in the planning process. I’d been following Rebecca’s work for years and had no doubt in my mind that when we eventually got engaged we’d reach out to her. Come October last year, we still weren’t engaged, but I knew Rebecca was already booking up for 2019. We actually reached out to her before the proposal to get a list of her open dates for 2019 so we could base our own wedding date off of her of availability!
Alex proposed a week later by having a friend and his fiancée book me for their own “engagement session.” When I showed up to the shoot, fully decked in photography gear, Alex was there instead of the couple and proposed at one of my favorite locations in San Francisco. When planning our engagement session, a priority in choosing our locations was to find somewhere that I hadn’t shot that often myself. We knew we wanted a dramatic landscape that also felt very California. Our wedding will be in Hawaii so we wanted these photos to feel like home. The beach and mountains outside SF were the perfect spots. I’d only photographed one session there and I absolutely fell in love with these two locations. We loved the dramatic rocks at the beach and the rolling hills in the Mountains. For the beach, we chose more casual outfits. The yellow Rove dress flowed beautifully in the wind and paired nicely with Alex’s button-down shirt with rolled-up sleeves. For the second outfit, we opted for a more formal look. I planned on wearing this white dress to our rehearsal dinner but loved it so much I decided to pull it out early for our engagement session!”
