We know that not everyone has the luxury of getting married under the perfect California sun. A lot of us have to deal with the possibility of rain, or snow, or generally gloomy weather on our wedding days. To inspire all of us, these bridal portraits were shot in Oregon on a gloomier day (although, the incredible view certainly doesn’t hurt!) and we just had to share the photos with you.
We love that this bride chose a dramatic, long veil. It moves and dances in the wind, adding an ethereal element to the bridal portraits while still remaining simple. Tousled hair and pink cheeks that look kissed by the chilly breeze are the only extra details she needs.

“There are not many fine art wedding photography workshops in Oregon, so when I heard that Jeremy Chou was having one in my back yard I had to jump in on the fun. This gorgeous setup envisioned and designed by Tristan Needham was just perfect for the Pacific Northwest. All of the details were well thought of, from the largest details to the most minimal ones. The backdrop was Cannon Beach, the colors were blue-gray and rose-pink, and the model had beautiful red hair. The day was a typical fall Oregon day, wet and gray, not bright and golden like most were accustomed to. This is what made this day very special — we got to photograph in an environment that most of us were not used to. It gave us a darker and moodier feel, which was incredible. Though most of us were cold and wet, we could not let this day pass us by without capturing such beautiful images on film. I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. I can’t wait to go back and photograph at that location again, whether it’s warm and sunny or cold and gloomy. The experiences we all brought home from that day will always be cherished.”
