Robin + Michael’s Great Gatsby inspired, old Hollywood glamour wedding in Arlington, Virginia was intimate and family focused, with lots of delicious food. This couple’s choice of venue is really great for 80 guests, a classic subway tile style restaurant with lovely lighting and diner charm. Don’t miss Robin’s beautiful Jenny Packham, Lilya wedding dress complete with natural waist, sheath silhouette and intricate beadwork. Enjoy!

The Ceremony
Our 12-year dating anniversary was our wedding date. Our ceremony was focused on our journey together to date and going forward. It was a blend of non-traditional and traditional Jewish ceremony elements.
The Reception
We rented out a local restaurant to host our ceremony, seated dinner, and reception. Our families are from Pennsylvania and North Carolina so we wanted our guests to experience our life and what we love about living in Arlington, VA. We wanted the focus of our wedding to be about food, music and our journey as a couple. We had an amazing seated dinner for 80 guests, followed by non-stop dancing to 70s and 80s music (nothing past the 90s was allowed until after 11pm). At the end of the night we exited through a sea of sparklers onto a rickshaw cab to take us home just a few blocks away.
Robin’s Dress Search
I was adamant that I did not want to wear a traditional wedding dress. And I knew I was going for a certain style for our wedding but I couldn’t quite pinpoint it until I tried on the first Jenny Packham gown I slipped into at Kelley’s Closet in Atlanta. Once I tried it on, I knew there was something special about this gown…and then there it was, the theme for our day – an old Hollywood glamour, great Gatsby inspired wedding!

Why Robin Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
It’s a beautiful dress and I want someone else to also be able to experience how amazing and special I felt on my wedding day without having to pay the price I paid.
