Today’s bride, Cory, works in the bridal industry and so she was able to call upon some of the best vendors in Monterrey, Mexico to help plan her wedding to Luigi. The classic Catholic ceremony set up a spectacular night of celebration at a country club, where the dancing went on until sunrise! The wedding was completely glamorous, from Cory’s customized Reem Acra gown to the the incredibly dark, dramatic and romantic reception decor. A simply stunning day.

The Ceremony:

The church I was married has a very beautiful and enormous image of Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe (who is recognized as a symbol of Catholic Mexicans). The flowers I carried were magnolias for my main bouquet, and a hot pink rose bouquet to match my lipstick. The day was November 29 so it was pretty chilly and I got to wear a beautiful faux fur bolero. We usually don’t have bridesmaids in Monterrey, Mexico but my closest friends accompanied me while I was getting dressed and then joined me again for the ceremony. I felt very jittery throughout the day, but no tears were shed until the very last part of the religious ceremony. The song “Por ti Volare” by Andrea Bocelli was played and this song reminds me of my family. This was one of my favorite parts of the ceremony.

The Reception
The reception was a very romantic affair. One part I really enjoyed during the reception was the waltz. We danced to a Spanish song called “Quiero Casarme Contigo”. During dinner there was a man on piano playing hit songs and during dessert, a band joined the pianist and they sang “Young and Beautiful” by Lana Del Rey. I don’t have a picture of that moment, but it was pretty spectacular, the dancing started after that and did not stop until 6am. I made Luigi (from the Nintendo video game series) hats because we call my husband “Luigi”. People wore them for the bouquet and garter toss.
