Real Wedding | Melissa + Nicholas

Melissa + Nicholas’ sunset garden wedding in Miami Beach is downright romantic! And oh my goodness, the bride is beaming in her Ella gown by Vera Wang – and very meant to be that Melissa’s middle name is Ella too.  I love how intimate this couple’s wedding ceremony looks with a “Prayer Well” decorated in hydrangeas at the alter and the countless supply of warm soft candles surrounding the ceremony.   Something else to love of about this wedding: a kid friendly sit down reception that still captures a super chic, cocktail party vibe with reflective surfaces, lots of candle light and hints of aqua, black and white.

Melissa + Nicholas | September 17, 2010 | Spanish Monastery + Gansvoort Hotel, Miami Beach, Florida

The Ceremony
The ceremony was at the Spanish Monastery in North Miami Beach, Florida.  It was a Sunset Garden Wedding with softly lit candles, large white hydrangea flowers everywhere and as I walked down the aisle, the sun began to set.

The Reception
The reception was held at STK Restaurant at the Gansevoort Hotel in South Miami Beach.  We had a white themed wedding with hits of aqua and black. The menu, the cake, my family, and the warm setting, made the night perfect. It was a sit-down dinner reception where the waiters served you the different courses of your meal, with an open bar.

How Melissa Felt in Her Wedding Dress
To begin with, this gown has the same name has me – Ella – is my middle name, which I thought was amazing!  The day of the wedding was the craziest day – up until the moment I put on my gown. It was the most incredible feeling. I felt beautiful, I felt elegant and I felt perfect… It’s truly a moment that is very hard to put into words… It’s simply a breathtaking feeling to walk down the aisle towards your soul mate, in a gown that feels as if it was made for you. And the tears that filled his eyes when he saw me, was overwhelming… If I had to do it over again, I would pick this gown a million times over.

Why Melissa Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I was keeping the dress for my daughter or niece, but they said they want to have the feeling of picking out their own dresses…I was a little heart broken, but then I thought of the PreOwned Wedding Dresses website, and also thought why should such a gorgeous dress just sit in a box.
