Real Wedding | Lexi + Barrett

I love it when a bride has a clear vision of her wedding style. Lexi not only had that vision, but she brought it to life in an elegant and beautiful way. From the all white brides maid’s dresses, to the one-of-a-kind, custom made Chuppah, to the sentimental reception location, this wedding was perfection from start to finish!

The ceremony

Our wedding was in one word, beautiful. I had a very simple request – I wanted a simple, clean, and classic wedding. So, the wedding was all white (yep, even the bridesmaids dresses!). The ceremony was at a yacht club, which was once an old mansion, and we thought the reception would be only fitting to be where we first met in third grade – our synagogue/elementary school! The ceremony was held under a very special “Chuppah”, custom made by my father and mother. It was very simple and was surrounded by floating orchids, but spectacular.

The reception

For the reception we continued the elegant feeling. Our florist had outdone himself with magnificent flower arrangements throughout the room! It began with us being introduced and jumping straight into some wild Jewish dancing, called the Hora. On thing my fiance did ask for was a jazz music. It was such a simple request – and we ended up with a 7-piece live jazz band!

Why Lexi decided to sell her wedding dress

When it came to actually buying my dress I really thought I would keep it and turn it into a bassinet (which is what my mother did with her dress). However, I will be graduating from veterinary school this year, and we will be moving to the Pacific coast I did not want to store it and have it gather a musty smell while I’m waiting for time to turn it into a bassinet (plus, my mom still has hers!). I would love for someone else to enjoy this dress as much as I did on their most important day of their life.
