“We designed this inspiration shoot for the modern bride who gravitates toward a modern, minimalistic approach to fashion. We wanted to raise the bar on bridesmaid style and showcase looks that aren’t so expected by mixing clean design with rich texture.
The hair and makeup look was meant to feel effortless and perfectly undone. We styled her hair in a few ways to show the possibilities – romantic waves, not-too-styled low bun and a soft, yet sleek high bun. The makeup was ultra light and natural with an emphasis on her eyes by playing with rosy eye shadow. Often times brides invest in robes for their ladies to wear during hair and makeup and for getting ready photos.
We featured hand-dyed silk kimonos for a luxurious, but effortless look to coordinate with the colors of the bridesmaid dresses. We chose sleek and modern dresses with deep V necklines and incorporated texture with a gorgeous velvet number in a rich shade of Marsala.
We believe that accessories add the finishing touch, so we opted to style the dresses with bold earrings and hairpieces. The statement earrings with floral details and pearl hair accessories are perfect for a more romantic and feminine look, while the star earrings and headband feel a bit edgier. This inspiration shoot had the ultimate cool girl in mind to prove that bridesmaids can be fashionable too.”
