One of my daily reads is the lovely blog A Cup of Jo. Joanna fills its pages with the perfect combination of wit and charm. Her sincerity is infectious, and she finds some of the coolest stuff from around the web. She has always been a huge supporter of Once Wed, for which I am so thankful. Needless to say, I’m beyond thrilled to share her big day with everyone this morning. Here’s a little more from Joanna…
Alex and I got married in an historic social club in downtown Manhattan. (Luckily for us, they just started hosting weddings.) My family is from England, so we loved that the venue felt British, with nautical paintings, fireplaces, and taxidermy (including a friendly lion!).
We kept our wedding intimate and personal, with a small guest list, framed photos of our grandparents’ weddings, a casual buffet dinner, and heart holographic glasses for favors.
I loved every minute, especially our first kiss, and the surprises, like how my brother gave his whole toast in a New Zealand accent! I just wish we could do it all over again.
