It’s absolutely incredible to see how different cultures celebrate, and weddings are often the best way to get a glimpse. This couple brought together their different cultures to celebrate their love, in a rich, colorful event that highlights the best of their traditions. The outdoor wedding in Beverly Hills featured a bold palette of peach and coral, accented with orange, blush, caramel and greenery. Isn’t the floral covered mandap incredible? It’s composed of hydrangea, roses, garden roses, curly willow, and eucalyptus.
We can’t end without highlighting something that the bride said about their relationship and how it played a roll in the couple’s wedding celebration: “Ours is a love built on a bedrock of kindness. Our wedding day was a celebration of this vision: all that love requires is to see the inherent beauty and humanity in another. Our marriage celebrates a union of cultures and a blossoming of understanding, unity, and love.”
Read on for more from the couple about their wedding planning: “Author Sherman Alexie once wrote, “He loved her, of course, but better than that, he chose her, day after day. Choice: that was the thing”. Choice truly is the key. I am so thankful that Nikhil and I have chosen to stand by our relationship and our love. We are fortunate to live in a society where we are granted the liberty to love whom we choose, past the short horizons of race, color, and creed. It would be opaque not to confess that we overcame many cultural obstacles to arrive at the blessed day of our nuptials. But we endured, our faith in each other persevered, and we saw a love in one another that filled us with infinite hope.
Our relationship has been a lesson in strength, compassion, patience, and humility. Our love has taught us both that having compassion towards everyone is the best way to ensure that the seeds of our kindness will bloom in their hearts. Ours is a love built on a bedrock of kindness. Our wedding day was a celebration of this vision: all that love requires is to see the inherent beauty and humanity in another. Our marriage celebrates a union of cultures and a blossoming of understanding, unity and love.”
