I have such a wonderful treat in store for everyone today from the lovely husband and wife team, Erin Hearts Court. Courtney sent over a ton of beautiful images from Charles and Nadia’s wedding last week, and I’ve been itching ever since to upload these lovelies onto the blog. Their amazing event planner and florist, Meg, was also sweet enough to join us today and share a bit more information behind their wedding…
Nadia has a fun, romantic, vintage-inspired style. We started with the floral print cloth napkins from Anthropologie to place in the middle of the guest tables and frame the centerpieces. We chose a collection of vases in different sizes and shapes to give the centerpiece an eclectic feel and incorporated slices of fire wood for an organic element and white “granny doilies” to give the look a romantic edge.
For flowers, I used dinner plate dahlias, antique hydrangeas, spray roses, peonies and garden/cabbage roses. To complete the centerpiece look, we turned kitchen glasses from Anthropologie into candles and picture frames from Anthropologie into table numbers. Overall, we aimed to have an organic, vintage-inspired, romantic and eclectic decor scheme.
Nadia is of Russian heritage and Charles is of Venezuelan heritage so they wanted to include some elements of those cultures into their wedding decor. The matryoshka doll favors were brought from Russia by Nadia’s family, the fiesta banners were bought from the Etsy store “Ay Mujer” and the tissue pom poms were bought from the Etsy store “Pom Pom Love.”
Oh, and the image above is what did it for me. Have you ever seen a more heartwarming photograph? It puts a huge smile on my face just looking at it…
