My maid of honor and I worked on making the headpiece together. She crafted all the feathers and together we thought of the idea and hammered out the silver to fit my head.
The ceremony spot we chose was where the fresh water meets the salt water- what the Native Americans called a sacred spot. It was on Pfieffer Beach. Matt and I got engaged in big sur last year while celebrating his birthday and pfieffer beach was one of the first stops we made right after the proposal. We fell in love with that spot immediately and knew it was the right place to celebrate our wedding.
The wedding party was very small- just our immediate family. We rented a beautiful property overlooking pfieffer beach which accommodated our whole family for the four days. We all flew in from different parts of the world ( my parents and matts father flew in from Australia to be with us!) and drove from San francisco together down the breathtaking highway one.
