For those of you hoping to achieve a couple different looks for your ceremony, reception and a night of dancing, today’s featured bride is a wonderful source of inspiration! Amy + Brian’s traditional Catholic church ceremony was the perfect setting for a beautiful shoulder swept lace bolero and satin sash. While at the couple’s Metropolitan Club reception complete with marble walls, chandeliers, gorgeous glass wear and candle light…Amy went for a sleek and fun, hair down, strapless look in the same Oscar de la Renta lace wedding gown. We love that Amy managed to make a brief appearance in her traditional Korean wedding Hanbok too. Perfect!

The Ceremony
We had a traditional church ceremony at an Episcopal church on Madison Avenue and we didn’t do a “first look” before the ceremony so the walk down the aisle was the first time we were seeing each other on the wedding day. We had the church choir, organist and a string quartet that made the ceremony sound amazing. We loved the traditional aspect of the church wedding.
The Reception
Our reception was at the Metropolitan Club, where we held the cocktail hour in the grand foyer with the large fireplace. The guests were ushered to the third floor ballroom where we all had dinner and dancing where the entire room was lit by candles and decorated with orchids. Our favorite part of the reception was the amazing band, the antiqued mirror dance floor and some amazing toasts from our bridal party. We served chocolate milk shake shots, and had boxes of pizza delivered from the local pizzeria down the block, served with beer straight out of the bottle as a late night snack.
Amy’s Dress Search
I tried on about 15-20 dresses with my friends and family. I ended up stopping by an Oscar trunk show at Saks alone, and bought it on the spot.

Why Amy Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I love my dress and I thought I would want to keep it forever as a keepsake for my daughters down the line. But I realized that everyone has their own unique taste and I don’t want to see this gorgeous dress sitting in my closet for years and years. Someone else should enjoy this gorgeous piece.
