From Christina Sfez, dress designer:
“This season I had a real crush on the amazing Verbena Madrid’s headpieces. Handmade crowns, in raffia and entirely embroidered with pearls and sequins. A modern and poetic alternative to the traditional flower crown.
In close collaboration with Emilie, makeup artist and hairdresser whose work I love, and Lorenzo, a talented photographer whose work I have been following for some time, we decided to stage them in order to share with our future brides our vision of style. A poetic, romantic bride while being extremely modern and up-to-date.”
From Lorenzo Accardi, the photographer:
“When Christina offered me this collaboration, I accepted without hesitation. The idea of marrying the natural side of raffia Verbena Madrid crowns, with the dresses of Christina Sfez immediately pleased me.
We all love fashion. This editorial allowed us to express ourselves artistically. We wanted to create something unique and minimalist by mixing fashion and wedding all on a terracotta background. For the venue, Christina’s showroom in Marseille was the obvious choice. It has a beautiful space and beautiful natural light. For beauty, the talented Emilie brought a creative touch, sublimating images.”
From Emilie Green, hair and makeup artist:
“When Christina asked me to work on the staging of the wonderful Verbena handmade crowns, I obviously agreed right away. I immediately turned to ultra-ethereal hairstyles and iridescent skin to give a very fashionable look to our models. From these associations and clichés of Lorenzo are born portraits of fresh and trendy brides. Verbena crowns have not finished talking about them.”
