Yvette + John | Enzoani Wedding from Jesse Leos Photography

Today’s featured wedding is an exquisite example of a modern-elegant event! With an eye for design, architecture and the power of color and light, Yvette + John’s Dallas ,Texas wedding is playful, inviting and oh so tasteful.  And how exactly does one piece modern design and elegance together so succinctly you ask? The clean lines and vaulted ceilings at the church…the unexpected raw-industrial loft space of the reception…combined with a soft palette of white-gray and vibrant yellow lends itself to modern touches.  While the bride and groom are dressed in classic formal style in wardrobe choices that say – fresh, fashionable and elegant. Wow, really beautiful and so inviting!

The Ceremony
The ceremony was located at All Saints Catholic Church. It was a very traditional classic ceremony. The church was beautiful with stained glass windows and magnificent architecture!

The Reception
We chose The Filter Building on White Rock Lake to host our wedding reception, a gorgeous venue!  The beautiful 1920s historic building with stunning terraces and sweeping views just take your breath away. The venue’s vintage industrial interior served as the perfect backdrop to carry out any theme. The amazing view of White Rock Lake coupled with red brick walls, original iron trusses and lots of windows gave the space that urban industrial style we were looking for.  Our theme was a modern but elegant. Everything from my lace wedding dress, modern bridesmaid dresses, invitations, place cards, cake, centerpieces, signature cocktail, all reflected our contemporary modern style.  We chose gray and yellow as our colors because to us they represented summer with a modern vintage twist! The room was very spacious and had a simple but elegant look and feel!

Yvette’s Dress Search
When I first started searching for a wedding dress I really had no clue what I wanted.  I was so overwhelmed with all the different styles, cuts, textures, etc.  It took about 3 months until I finally figured out what I did not want.  I crossed out several styles; BIG ball gown dresses, sleeves, beads mixed with rhinestones, fit-and-flare, etc. And not because they were ugly but because they just weren’t me. Once I realized this, I knew what I was looking for: something classy, modern, flattering and fitting, vintage and lacy, sleeveless, and something that would be comfortable because Texas summers can be brutal and I am wearing this for 8-10hrs.

Why Yvette Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
People ask me all the time why I want to sell my dress, especially because it was the most gorgeous dress they’ve ever seen. My response is, “I want other brides to feel how I did every time I put on that special dress, only for a fraction of the cost”.
