There is so much incredible beauty all around us, and so we love seeing a wedding (or a wedding inspiration photo shoot, like this one) that has been designed to echo the natural beauty surrounding us. In this case, a team of Seattle-based wedding vendors turned to their love of the Pacific Northwest forests to begin telling their story of a woodland inspired wedding. Airy, organic details were selected, such as a textured bridal bouquet with free-flowing vines. Soft colors were layered in: cream, taupe, bright green, caramel, and peach came together in a bright, cheerful way that doesn’t detract from the greens and browns of the forest around the couple.

“The inspiration for this shoot came from a deep love for the forests of the Pacific Northwest. We could argue that there’s not much that’s more romantic or more magical than a day wandering in the northwest woods with your significant other!
The woodland elopement theme came easily after a location was selected. With the mountains so close to home, it’s no wonder some couples choose to plan secret weddings in some of the forests’ most beautiful and secret places.
A neutral color palette, headlined by cream and taupe, were a stunning compliment to the dark greens and browns of the natural surroundings. Keeping the design contained and structured enough to be fitting of a real wedding, yet wild enough to coincide perfectly with the setting was an enjoyable challenge for all the creative wedding vendors involved.
The bride was styled to look effortlessly chic amidst the easy serenity of the northwest woodlands, wearing a romantic flowing gown while barefoot, with unruly curls escaping her hairstyle. Fluid watercolor calligraphy on handmade paper and a nearly naked cake with vines seemingly growing around it added touches of natural elegance to coincide with the woodland theme. The wild floral design with pops of delicious peach and tan tones gave airy, soft texture and color that were unusual and really completed the look and theme.
Each member of the vendor team worked together to create a beautiful styled elopement and the results were nothing short of a romantic, intimate, woodland dream.”
