We love this chic NYC wedding held in a vintage abandoned warehouse. Every detail is gorgeously planned and the entire night has a relaxed, elegant vibe.  Whitney’s Pnina Tornai could not have been more perfect and now is just waiting for its next bride to let it shine again.

The Ceremony
We wanted to make the wedding feel like us. We had a close friend marry us. He wrote a lovely ceremony and my husband and I wrote our own vows. We also wanted to do our own unique version of a unity ceremony so we borrowed a rum punch bowl from Cienfuegos, one of our favorite spots in the East Village and recreated our favorite drink from there with each ingredient symbolizing something about our love.

The Reception
Dance, dance dance! We just wanted everyone to have a great time! We were on the dance floor all night. We had an awesome photo booth as well. Towards the end of the night everyone had on a funny accessory from the photo booth. It was a really relaxed and great time celebrating with our closest friends and family.

Whitney’s Wedding Dress Search
My mother and cousin (MOH) flew to NYC for an entire weekend of wedding dress shopping. I made appointments at seven shops and tried on almost forty dresses. My first appointment was at Kleinfeld, the iconic NYC store. My dress was the third one I tried on and it fit me perfectly. I still went to the other appointments that weekend but on Sunday we went back to Kleinfeld and I was ready to purchase my wedding dress! It fit me like a glove. I could picture myself walking down the aisle to my groom in this dress…I truly felt like a bride.

How She Felt In Her Pnina Tornai Gown
Confident. Classy. Sexy.

Why She’s Selling Her Wedding Dress
I truly wish I wasn’t! I would love to keep my dress forever! However, my husband and I paid for our wedding ourselves and I purchased this dress for me to wear on a special day as we became family. Now I am ready to part with the dress and use the money towards furniture for the new house we are buying…where we will raise a family. Also, this dress can only be purchased at Kleinfeld…nowhere else in the world! So I hope I am able to allow another bride to be have the chance of wearing such a magical gown and to feel as amazing and proud as I did in it.
