If you are a bride-to-be and haven’t discovered Pinterest yet, drop everything and check it out. It is the ultimate ultimate wedding planning tool. (It is also highly, highly addictive so don’t say I didn’t warn you).
What Pinterest does is allow you to create your own inspiration board, or virtual pinboard, from any image on the web. Any. Image. On. The. Web. Forget binders and tearsheets, you can now gather all of your wedding inspiration in one nifty little place. Collect and refine your inspiration until you’ve found your perfect vision. It is such a perfect wedding planning tool it is astounding.
You can create a single board for your entire wedding, or create individual ones for centerpieces, your cake, flowers, and, of course, your wedding dress.
Here are a few we’ve created with our absolute favorite wedding gowns.
Pinterest really can make finding your dream dress easier. Imagine going to a bridal salon with a perfectly curated selection of wedding gowns. Not only will it help you define your vision, it will help your consultant easily understand what you are looking for. (Making your dress shopping all the more fabulous and effective).
Using Pinterest is easy. You just download the Pin It bookmark, and whenever you see a fabulous image, you just Pin it to your board. Voila. Online wedding planning at its absolute best.
Start finding images anywhere. But, just to make it even easier, you can look at the boards created by others. Style Me Pretty, Perfect Palette and Snippet and Ink are just a few of my favorites. And you can find our dress boards here.
You do need an invitation to start using Pinterest, so if you don’t have one yet, leave us a comment below and we’ll invite you. Happy planning!
