Tara + Brian’s vineyard wedding has the most lovely light as air quality that only a spring celebration can truly embrace. Fresh, faint green-scape, vines beginning to take shape, warm inviting sun and Tara, center stage in her strapless Amsale gown called ‘Calista’. I love this look! Soft and feminine side-swept golden curls, a very pretty garden-fairy inspired hair piece and the incredible presence of the ‘Calista’s’ Windsor Duchess Tulle. Tara adds, ‘The layers of tulle would blow lightly in the wind. I honestly felt the most beautiful I have ever felt in my life that day.’ So good. Enjoy!

The Ceremony
Our ceremony was held at Ledge Stone Vineyards. It is a small, but beautiful winery just outside of Green Bay. We had 200 guests at our outdoor ceremony. Our guests were able to get a complimentary glass of wine and/or a glass of pink lemonade while waiting for the ceremony to start. We had a string quartet playing throughout the time spent there. There were large white hydrangeas used to decorate. Brian’s uncle, whom is a deacon, officiated our ceremony. We decided against having a wedding party, opting instead for having just the two of us with our nieces and nephews serving as flower girls, a ring bearer, and readers.
The Reception
Our cocktail hour and reception was held at the Green Bay Distillery. The cocktail hour was in their indoor/outdoor patio area. There we had an acoustic guitarist playing for our guests while they dined on appetizers. The reception was held in a more industrial-feeling room where we had café lights strung over the dance floor and lounge furniture. The round guests tables were covered in white satin floor length linens, while our immediate family sat at a kings table draped in a taupe/gold floor length linen. Plated meals were served along with soup, salad, and a number of cake flavors for dessert.
Tara’s Dress Search
When I started searching the internet for wedding ideas after our engagement I had come across the Amsale Calista dress on a real bride. I fell in love with it! We were going for a modern-classic feel to our wedding day and it just fit perfectly. I knew I had to have it. When I went to try it on, I knew instantly it was the ‘one’. It was the only dress I tried on in my search! Although the dress looks full, it is not heavy in the least bit; it is very light and airy. That was important to me with having an outdoor ceremony. The layers of tulle would blow lightly in the wind. I honestly felt the most beautiful I have ever felt in my life that day.

Gorgeous, Radiant and Blissful.
Why Tara Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I have decided to sell my dress for a few different reasons. First and foremost being that I do not come from money and I was paying for my wedding dress. I have a good job and LOVE designer things, but could not afford to spend $5000+ on a wedding dress. I found this dress at a sample sale where it was used as the one that people tried on; needless to say I did not pay the $5000 that this dress retails for. I want to help someone else like me realize their dream, just like I was able to. Second, growing up I did not have my mom’s wedding dress around and I did not miss it nor do I think I would have worn it. It is not important to me to keep my dress and if I am able to make someone else feel beautiful by selling mine it’s worth it to me.
