We’ve enjoyed exploring every part of weddings with you over the past year as we’ve started showing you more beautiful engagement, boudoir, and maternity shoots, and of course weddings, but we don’t often get to see what happens before the planning starts! We’re so honored to share a little bit Marc and Kathy’s story today through photos of their surprise mountaintop engagement. Marc surprised Kathy with this sweet proposal and Anne Blodgett was there to capture every moment.

Every girl dreams about the perfect proposal. When Anne asked if Marc and I would help her by modeling for some portfolio work she needed done, I had no clue I was being set up for a moment that would change my future. She and my now fiance, Marc, planned all of the details, all I had to do was arrive at her home. There was someone there to do my hair, makeup, and she’d even picked out my clothes. It wasn’t until an hour or so later when we arrived at the site where we were to take the photos and Marc was down on one knee that I realized what was happening. I am touched that so much thought went into this proposal. It was such a special moment and I’m so glad that Anne was able to capture it on film.
