The Ceremony
Our wedding took place on July 25th, 2015 in Paris, France – arguably the most romantic city in the world. The ceremony took place at the Shangri-La Paris Hotel, the former home of Prince Roland Bonaparte. The Parisian ballroom had elegant tones of gold and cream, and original chandeliers. The classic French-style property featured marble fireplaces and Louis XIV décor. The intimate ceremony (55 guests) was fit for a princess, with dozens of large candles lining the aisle, and white floral arrangements in the backdrop.
The Reception
The cocktails and reception took place in the Grand Salon, one of the French Historical Monument spaces at the Shangri-La Paris. Each table featured floral centerpieces of dozens of white roses and hydrangeas. Candles of various sizes added warmth to the evening and the grandeur atmosphere.
Stephanie’s Dress Search
I tried on approximately 7 dresses. I knew I wanted to wear a designer gown, so I was very specific on which brand I would wear. I narrowed it down to Monique Lhuillier and Reem Arca, and went from there. The minute I saw this dress, I knew it was “THE ONE.” I chose this Monique Lhuillier piece because I wanted to wear an elegant ball gown. This dress made the perfect Parisian wedding dress. It had the right amount of detailing in the corset, and the belt just brought it all to life. I felt like a princess.
