Stefanie + Bosch | Alvina Valenta Wedding from Piera Tammaro Photography

Stefanie + Bosch’s gorgeous Italian wedding is the perfect display of romance and old world grandeur in the old town of Positano overlooking the Amalfi Coast. This ancient city, day or night is so dramatic with its towering slopes and historic architecture just clinging to the cliffs of Positano.  Yes, that sounds like the perfect place to be married!! Don’t miss Stefanie’s flattering Alvina Valenta gown – like the city where today’s featured bride said I do, this dress sparkles!

The Ceremony
The ceremony took place in the beautiful Catholic Church, Santa Maria Assunta, which is located in downtown Positano directly at the beach. It was a traditional, romantic ceremony with colorful flowers at the altar. We also had a string trio present who played the bride entrance song, Pachebel’s Canon in D, as well as other songs throughout the ceremony.

The Reception
We chose the restaurant Le Terrazze to host our wedding, as the view from our terrace was magnificent, the decor chic, and the food delicious. It was the perfect venue for our special day as we were looking for a venue to go along with our romantic/rustic wedding theme and where our small wedding party would enjoy the beautiful view of Positano by night and the moonlit sea. The restaurant is located on top of a grotto which transforms by night into a club, where we went later in the evening for the first dance and bouquet toss. The ambiance of the club carved into the rocks was spectacular and the perfect finish for a night never to forget.

The wedding colors of the night were dark pink, orange and pewter grey. Everything from the wedding dress, bridesmaids’ dresses, invitations, welcome booklets for guests, wedding favors, cake – they all incorporated the wedding colors and had a romantic touch throughout.

Stefanie’s Dress Search
From the beginning when I started looking for wedding dresses, I knew I wanted a fitted, strapless gown with organza or similar flowing material. I looked for trumpet/mermaid style dresses to have both a fitting dress but in addition some volume at the bottom. However I also tried on other styles to see if I may like them more on my body shape but always went back to the trumpet/mermaid style gowns. When I found my dress I knew it would fit perfectly to the romantic wedding theme as its made of beautiful satin silk organza with beaded and embroidered tulle overlay which gave it both a romantic but also glamorous look for my special day.

Chic, Unique & Glamorous.

Why Stefanie Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I decided to sell my wedding dress, as I think it’s a too beautiful of a dress to be only worn once. I would love to know that someone else is experiencing their special day in this incredible dress and feeling the same way I did on my day but for a fraction of the cost I paid. The dress is professionally cleaned and waiting for its new owner!
