Stefania + Jonathan | Claire Pettibone Wedding from Our Labor Of Love Photography

This fall Philadelphia wedding has such a classic and sweet quality to it!  Following family tradition, and just a block away from their grandmother’s house, Stefania + Jonathan were married in the same 100 year old church where most of their family has been married…I love the beautiful montage of today’s featured couple walking from the ceremony to their Nonna’s home, with their families following behind.  Stefania’s Claire Pettibone gown, Chantilly, is a lovely mix of classic, relaxed elegance…perfect for a day rich with tradition.  Enjoy!

The Ceremony
Jonathan and I were married in an Italian church a block away from where my Nonna lives. Most of my family has been married there by our wonderful Pastor, Father Buccafurni. At the end of our ceremony we walked two blocks to my Nonna’s house with my family walking behind us the same way they do in small villages in Italy! This church is now in fear of closing its doors after 100 years. I believe we were the last wedding to be performed there. It was emotional for all of us.

The Reception
Hunting Hill Mansion is a gorgeous English-Tudor style house in the heart of Ridley Creek State Park. There’s a beautiful ballroom inside along with 2,000 acres of lawn and forest including a Tennis Yard, Formal Gardens and an Overlook. My family has been picnicing at Ridley for years and we had no idea this mansion was on the property until my caterers informed me! It was perfect for a fall wedding. All the trees were changing colors and it was warm enough to have the cocktail party on the outside patio. Everyone went nuts over the space.

Stefania’s Dress Search
I knew from the moment I saw the Chantilly while I was dress hunting online, I knew it was the one for me. I found I liked almost everything by Claire Pettibone and went to a trunk show to seek the Chantilly out at Nicole’s Bridal Shop in Jenkintown. I tried on a number of Claire gowns, saving the best for last. I’m not much of a fairy-tale-princessy-type girl, I grew up mostly a tomboy and never thought about what kind of dress I would wear to my wedding. But the second I put on my dress I knew. My mom, sister and I all started crying and it was pretty much settled from there.

How Stefania Felt in Her Wedding Dress
Classic. Gorgeous. Relaxed.

Why Stefania Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
I bought it knowing I couldn’t afford it and the intention of passing it to another bride. I plan on taking the money and saving it for my future daughter so she can have the dress of her dreams too.
