No matter if the scene for your wedding day will be in a ballroom or under a canopy of oak trees as in this elegant outdoor fete, we love sharing ideas for a sophisticated wedding aesthetic that your guests will enjoy. The team of wedding professionals who created this look wanted it to feel elegant and sophisticated, while maintaining a “Californian” feel.
One of our favorite aspects of this look that would be simple for you to incorporate into your own wedding is the neutral color palette, of creams, copper, greens, and touches of blue. Grounded with natural wood accents, the combination is at once elegant, simple, and decidedly under-done. Find more ideas using this palette from this white-and-gold indoor wedding, this natural-inspired wedding in Utah, and these simplistic ideas that you could easily DIY with a little foraging!
From the photographer:
Your venue can be a key source for inspiring for the look and feel of your wedding. From choosing the types of florals that will grace your tablescape to selecting the flavor of your cake, an organically inspired wedding is all about infusing design elements that blend naturally with your surroundings, thereby creating an environment that is warm, inviting, and simply elegant. Each element of this shoot was brought in with the consideration of this California location- the oak trees, dry grass and pathways were the foundation of this concept. Each color was matched to the location from the flower girl’s dresses, to the florals, table design and paper suite. The rustic wildness in the oak tress paired perfectly with the elegant, but unrestrained calligraphy by Tara Jones. Max Gill’s locally sourced greenery and blooms have a similar wildness- an organic understated elegance that blends seamlessly with the landscape.
