Most of our cover shoot, ‘Daughters of Poseidon,’ was held together by the color palette of an oyster shell. One of the things I knew I wanted to do from the beginning was an oyster shell garland. The top image is in the magazine, the bottom two are not. Come back tomorrow for a tutorial on how to make the oyster garland in the top and bottom images. But I’ll go ahead and tell you: the coral used as a candle holder is super easy to do! I just put some orthodontics wax on the bottom of each candle and pushed them into openings in the coral–easy peasey.
