Sarah + Ilan’s wedding comes to us from Baltimore, Maryland complete with a very elegant chuppah made from white blooming flowers and a grand and golden ballroom reception. I love the romantic atmosphere of this venue and Sarah’s choice of colors for their day…rich white florals with accents of gold throughout the reception and even a touch of gold on the bridesmaid’s dresses (great continuity!). Don’t miss Sarah’s Junko Yoshioka gown called in ‘Luciana’ in peacock organza with draped bodice and natural waist. So unique, feminine and flattering. Enjoy!

The Ceremony
We were married by a good friend of the family, which made the ceremony so special. An ivory-chiffon draping was hung over the entrance to allow for a dramatic reveal of the room. The chuppah was beautifully constructed of all different kinds of white blooming flowers. To incorporate our family and friends, our wedding party recited seven important blessings. My father passed away only a few months before our wedding so our Rabbi wrapped us in his a Tallis (prayer shawl) to remember him. It was an emotional but beautiful moment for both of us.
The Reception
The reception was in a stunning room, filled with subtle gold undertones. We incorporated lots of whites and the mix of colors were gorgeous and maintained a not-too-overdone look. We did a great first dance, a 10 minute horah, a short welcome and prayer, and then a night filled with dinner and dancing that did not end until 1:00am.
Sarah’s Dress Search
I started off looking for a fitted lace dress, hoping to replicate the “old Hollywood” look but ended up buying a dress with a very unique fabric and absolutely no lace at all. When I tried it on, I instantly knew it was the one. The flattering fit, never-seen-before peacock organza fabric and the fact that it was so light weight made me feel beautiful.

Confident, Comfortable and Beautiful.
Why Sarah Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress
Lack of room and acceptance that if I have a daughter one day, she’ll refuse to wear it just because it was her mom’s dress, whether its in style or not.
