Sara + Brad’s spring wedding in Aspen was a classy black tie affair. I love the elegance of their white, champagne and ivory decor at Hotel Jerome and Sara looks perfect in her two piece Monique Lhuillier wedding gown with Augustine corset and Magical skirt. This lace bustier is so delicate and flattering and the lightweight satin trumpet floor length skirt looks gorgeous paired with the bride’s fur shrug – so high impact and an awesome addition for a snowy spring wedding day. Enjoy!
The Ceremony Our ceremony was at the Aspen Chapel, a charming little chapel atop a hill in Aspen. It snowed all day right until we left for the ceremony, then the snow stopped and the sun came out. It was fresh, wintery, and romantic and the fresh blanket of snow couldn’t have been better!
The Reception The reception was classy. We had cocktails as the sun set over the snowy mountain range at the Jerome. Our color palate was clean – white, champagne, and ivory.
Sara’s Dress Search I tried on a million dresses in LA, but when I went to Colorado to work on some wedding things, my best friend made an appointment for us and brought some champagne. We tried on a few dresses, but the moment I put this one on, I knew! We agreed it was fate and I bought it. I couldn’t have been happier – it was the perfect mix of elegant, romantic, and feminine, and I still feel like it is part of a fairy tale. I bought the dress before we had even finalized where the wedding would be!
How Sara Felt in Her Wedding Dress I felt like royalty! And the corset and skirt combination gave me the right level of curvy and svelte.
Why Sara Decided to Sell Her Wedding Dress I didn’t wear my mother’s dress, and I think my daughter will want to pick out her own dress as well, so I hope this dress makes another girl’s dream come true as well. I’m certain it’s good luck – it was the first big decision I made when planning my wedding, and all the pieces fell into place immediately after I bought the dress.
