Samantha + Sebastian | Lela Rose Real Wedding From Araujo Photography

Some couples just radiate love and happiness on their wedding day.  And this adorable couple is a perfect example.  We love how the charming groom worked hard to ensure his bride’s dream of a wedding in her home town.  And we’re completely smitten by their devotion to each other that shows in each and every photograph.

The Ceremony
The ceremony took place in my home church. This was one of the most important parts of the wedding to me; I have been part of this church since infancy and have so many memories there, it’s almost like a second home. In an emotional candlelight service officiated by my pastor of twenty nine years, I promised my life and my love to Sebastian.

The Reception
This candle lit affair was a held in the Urban Room of the Omni William Penn Hotel, a gorgeous Art Deco style room with black glass walls and mural on the ceiling by artist Joseph Urban. It featured delicious food, dancing, and, of course, the traditional Pittsburgh Cookie Table!

Samantha’s Wedding Dress Search
Before finding my gown, I tried on over 25 different dresses at 6 different stores. I had always envisioned myself in a simple v-neck ballgown, but I didn’t realize how hard that would be to find.  I was losing hope and then, in a sea of pretty strapless dresses, the elegant Lela Rose gown stood out like a shining light. With it’s deep v neck and blush brocade, it was so close to what I had envisioned, but it was not until the staff told me the the ‘v’ could be brought together and that the silk could be a soft off-white that I knew I found the dress of my dreams!

Why She’s Selling Her Wedding Dress
I love my wedding dress. In it, I felt more beautiful than I ever had and experienced the happiest day of my life. That being said, I will never wear it again. Keeping it in hopes that I may one day have a daughter who will be the same height, have a similar body type, and have the same taste just seems like a gamble. I want my gorgeous dress to make someone else’s day magical, even if it’s not someone I know.
