Real Wedding | Susie + Dan

There’s no better way to celebrate a New Year, and a new life together, than a wedding. Susie and Dan married in style at a posh downtown restaurant and rang in the New Year as Mr. & Mrs. surrounded by friends and family. As a fashion student, Susie had always dreamed of saying “I do” in a couture gown created by a well known designer. Her Oscar De La Renta gown was absolutely amazing…and so perfect for this city-chic celebration. Cheers to a new beginning for this lovely couple, and a new beginning for this one-of-a-kind gown!

The ceremony

We were married at the stylish Comme restaurant, in an intimate candle-lit ceremony on New Year’s Eve at the top of a grand staircase.

The reception description

Our reception included a stunning candle-lit dinner at ‘Comme’ which transformed into a rocking New Year’s Eve party ringing in 2012 with all our family and friends.

How Susie found her dream wedding gown

All I knew was that I wanted to wear a designer dress! I studied fashion and now work in fashion so I knew I wanted to wear a beautiful and extravagent couture dress by a designer that I have admired my whole life. That pretty much narrowed it down to Vera Wang and Oscar de la Renta! And so the search began….When I tried on this Oscar de la Renta dress, that was it, I never tried another wedding dress on again.

How Susie felt in her wedding dress

Beautiful, confident, lucky

Why Susie decided to sell her wedding dress

It took me a while to feel ok with it, but I decided that it would sit in a box for the rest of my life so I would prefer someone else to have it and experience the happiness it bought me on my special day.
