This seaside ceremony in La Jolla, California is like a dream! The gorgeous ocean view and the modern architecture makes Mireille and Allan’s big day artful and fresh. Things to love about today’s featured wedding: the cascading white and green flowers staged in tall glass vases; ocean side cocktails at sunset; and my absolute favorite Mireille’s Junko Yoshioka dress. “Strapless, baby A-line gown with georgette draped bodice and chiffon pleated rosette detail, opening to reveal tiers of ruffles”…Just perfect!

The Ceremony
We had an afternoon Catholic ceremony with live music. It was magical to have a beautiful sunset and somewhat loud ocean waves in the background. Our priest was great and there was laughter and tears in our short and sweet ceremony. Women in the wedding wore long cotton dresses that they choose, and the men wore grey suits.
The Reception
Our cocktail hour had tray passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and more live music, while we took pictures on the beach. After our introduction, we had a seated 3-course dinner with individual desserts instead of cake at the end. The rest of the night was full of fun and dancing with our live band. Lounge furniture and heat lamps outside kept it warm near the ocean breeze. Our photo booth was a great addition and probably the biggest hit of the party.
